Conference attendees enjoyed a good week of education, networking, peer input and discussion, socialization and
meeting with fellow code officials at Crystal Mountain Resort. Highlights of the week included:
Annual Golf Outing and Dinner -
This year's golf outing had 24 participants who enjoyed 18 holes of golf under sunshine and beautiful fall colors surrounding the course.
Educational Programs -
A wide variety of Education Programs were offered during the conference, providing inspectors with Act 54 approved credits
toward their inspector registration renewals.
Vendor Networking -
Vendors from Hilti, Simpson Strong-Tie and BS&A Software were available to discuss their products with the attendees.
Annual Business Meeting -
Time was provided for member input to aid the Board in the coming year.
Spring Conference minutes were approved, and a financial update was provided to the membership.
Annual Election of Officers -
Election of Board Officers took place during the Annual Business Meeting. Board of Director information is available
on the Home Page at www.cocm.org.
Silent Auction -
Members were provided the opportunity to place bids on items donated. Funds raised through the silent auction
are added to the Educational Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to persons pursuing career degrees
in a construction related field of study.
Annual Banquet -
The Annual Banquet was held and included a reception before dinner, dinner, presentation of awards for the golf outing,
Code Official of the Year - Donald Pratt, Keynote Speaker Irvin Poke, swearing in of Officers by Corey Roblee - ICC,
comments by President Chris Fuchs, Scholarship Auction results and prize give-aways! A fun time was had by all.
